What is dip powder? How is it different from acrylic?
Think of what would happen if acrylic and gel had a baby. Dip powder is another type of nail enhancement. It is strong and flexible unlike acrylic. It’s also porous so it allows the natural nail underneath to breathe. We use SNS (signature nail systems). It’s the premium dip powder system that includes calcium and citations into the product.
– How does it come off? The proper method of removal is a cotton balled soaked in acetone adhered to your nail for about 7-10 minutes. The product just slides off and allows for a new application.
What is acrylic?
Acrylic has been around for many years and was the preferred product used for nail enhancements. And yes, it’s come a long way since then. We use products from CND, OPI, Premium, and Young nails. Only the best high quality products are used on our clients. We still use acrylic to add strength and length to any nails and now we can custom blend colors too. Don’t forget nail art too, we can now create beautiful designs using acrylic as well.
Why are your prices higher than the other places?
We do not sacrifice on high quality products, and we feel confident that because we maintain high cleanliness standards, you will not receive any bacterial or fungal infections. We sanitize our tools and basins after each client and safety is our utmost concern. We also have regular training sessions about new innovative products and techniques so that we understand the products used fully.
I’m scared to have a pedicure because I got an infection before. How safe and clean are your pedicure chairs?
We don’t like germs as much as you do. Our pedicure chairs are made in the USA. The brand is Lexor. They are the only chairs manufactured that are approved and certified by the National Safety Board. They are engineered with safety in mind. In fact, we just upgraded our pipe-less jets (Ecojet) to accommodate our clients safety even more by using disposable liners. After each client use, the liners are discarded and the entire pedicure tub is cleaned and sanitized with a hospital grade disinfectant.
How many polish colors do you have? Gel polish?
We have over 1000 colors of polish from brands such as OPI, CND, ESSI, Zoya, China Glaze, ORLY, Color Club, Morgan Taylor, Gelish, IBD, and too many more to list. We always stay seasonal with our colors!
So, how do I make my own polish at your shop?
We have a ton of pure pigments, glitter, frost additives, and suspension base (the liquid stuff in nail polish). Anyone can come in to design their own custom blended color with our help. We even welcome bridal parties and birthday parties. You even get to name it!
Do your staff speak English?
Yes. Communication should not be a problem.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. Up to 1 week after services rendered. We believe that when nails break, lift, or do not last, it’s due to 2 reasons:
- Inferior product
- Poor workmanship
Please let us know if you have any defects with your nails within 1 week of the service. We will be than happy to fix it at no charge to you (exceptions do apply such as nail biting or when you decide to use your nails as a work tool).
Are you hiring?
Yes. We are always seeking out the next new nail artist. Talented, artistic nail techs should always apply. Just email us at Naillabcolleyville@yahoo.com.
What brand of eyelash extensions do you use?
We use a specially formulated brand called LongMi Lashes. Their company is out of California and our eyelash artists have been handpicked exclusively by Daniel Phu (eyelash guru to the stars) to be trained, educated, and certified. Again, safety is our utmost concern. Just make your appointment for a consultation and be on your way to the best eye opening experience.
